Russian classical music gave the world such names as P.I. Chaikovsky, M.I. Glinka, S.V. Rakhmaninov, I.F. Stravinsky, S.S. Prokofiev, D.D. Shostakovich. The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia regularly hosts concerts of classical music. In the concert hall of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Cyprus you can hear both virtuosos and young performers. On this stage there was a famous Borodin Quartet, the famous pianist Vadim Palmov, the Symphony Orchestra of Cyprus, as well as many young talents within the framework of the "Embassy of Excellence" (together with the St. Petersburg House of Music).
The "Embassy of Excellence" is a unique project of the St. Petersburg House of Music and Rossotrudnichestvo, which has been held since 2012 and includes tours of young soloists at Russian Centers for Science and Culture in foreign countries. In 2016 60 concerts took place in 22 countries.
